An investigation is underway against an organised crime group with global international criminal activities affecting the interests of citizens of various countries.

The group has been operating since 2018 and was set up for the self-serving purpose of tax crimes, money laundering, computer fraud, banking without a license, Siyka Mileva, spokesperson for the General Prosecutor, told BNR.
She added that the pre-trial proceedings initiated are not political and Bulgaria will cooperate with international experts by engaging an independent international auditor to examine in detail the activities of the crypto bank.
