There has been a major disruption in international services provided by UK's leading mail delivery service Royal Mail  after a cyber attack on January 10, the Bulgarian Posts reported. Processing and delivery of inbound and outbound international mail is affected and deliveries will be delayed. When the situation normalizes, customers of "Bulgarian Posts" will be informed via the company's website.

On January 13, the BBC reported that the disruption of postal services was caused by a ransomware cyber-attack by a hacker group that is connected to Russian criminal organizations.
