No accord was reached at the leadership meeting in the parliament between BSP, GERB, the Movement for Rights and Freedoms and "Bulgarian Rise".
"We Continue the Change", "Democratic Bulgaria" and "Vazrazhdane" did not attend. At the beginning of the meeting, Korneliya Ninova highlighted four important issues - the laws under the Recovery and Resilience Plan, the budget for 2023, Bulgaria’s Schengen entry and judicial reform.
The leader of GERB, Boyko Borisov, pointed out that there were no obstacles and red lines for the formation of a government, but the decision of GERB not to support a BSP mandate could not be violated. However, he said he would talk to his colleagues about changing the decision, because the results of the next elections would not be much different and because the BSP have changed. The leader of Movement for Rights and Freedoms, Mustafa Karadayi, pointed out that Bulgaria was moving towards another unnecessary early election, due to the lack of dialogue between the parties in the parliament.
Stefan Yanev, chairman of "Bulgarian Rise" commented that the leadership meeting was important, but belated. After the talks between the parliamentary forces that responded to the invitation of the BSP, Korneliya Ninova, pointed out that early elections were inevitable.
