Chancellor of Austria Karl Nehammer pays a working visit to Bulgaria today at the invitation of President Rumen Radev. The focus of the visit will be ensuring the security of the Bulgarian border, countering migration pressure and the application of European laws in relation to Schengen. The delegation led by Nehamer includes Minister of the Interior of Austria Gerhard Karner.
Nehamer will be acquainted with the measures taken to protect the EU's external border with Turkey. Together with President Rumen Radev, he will visit the Regional Directorate "Border Police" in Elhovo, where the Regional Coordination Center, part of the Integrated Monitoring System of the Bulgarian-Turkish border is located.
