Caretaker Prime Minister Galab Donev has discussed in a telephone conversation with his Macedonian counterpart Dimitar Kovacevski the importance of ensuring a peaceful and trouble-free celebration of the 151st anniversary of the birth of Bulgarian revolutionary Gotse Delchev, which will be held on February 4.

In connection to this Interior Minister Ivan Demerdzhiev and Head of State Agency for National Security Plamen Tonchev will be meeting their counterparts in Skopje on Monday to outline joint actions. The two prime ministers also discussed the benefits of deeper cooperation in the security sector - especially in cases of criminal acts and threats against citizens with Bulgarian identity.

Galab Donev reiterated Bulgaria's expectation that Skopje will take the measures to stop hate speech and hate crimes, as well as to ensure respect for the rights of the Macedonian Bulgarians.
