The second caretaker cabinet of Galab Donev officially took office. Head of State Rumen Radev presented the tasks and priorities of the caretaker government at an official ceremony at the Presidency.

The most important work of the fifth caretaker cabinet, formed by Radev, will be the preparation of fair and transparent elections, which is made more difficult by the new changes in the Electoral Law. The new government's main priorities will be to guarantee the purchasing power of Bulgarian citizens and fight poverty, improve the foundations for economic development, curb monopolies and speculation, support local producers and attract foreign investment. The government's commitments remain security and ensuring conditions for the development of modernisation projects, the President said.

It is worth noting that the composition of the new caretaker cabinet is the same as that of the previous one, with one exception - the seat of Culture Minister Veislav Minekov has been taken by the director of the Sofia Philharmonic Naiden Todorov.

"Despite the limited tools, you managed to stop the free fall of the state, to contain the crises, to hold fair elections," the president commented on the successes of the previous cabinet of Prime Minister Gulub Donev. "We will continue to do responsibly and transparently the job for which we were elected and appointed," Donev said.
