BNB issues a silver coin dedicated to Nayden Gerov

On February 6, 2023, the Bulgarian National Bank is putting into circulation a silver commemorative coin on the theme "200 years since the birth of Nayden Gerov" from the "Bulgarian Revival" series. The price of the coin is BGN 114 /€58.29/.

Nayden Gerov /1823 - 1900/ is a Bulgarian revivalist - writer, linguist and folklorist, founder of schools in Bulgaria and author of the first dictionary of the Bulgarian language. It was also his initiative to organize a holiday on May 11, 1851, dedicated to the holy brothers Cyril and Methodius, creators of the Glagolitic script.
