Limiting illegal excursions will be one of the priorities during the new mandate for Bulgaria's caretaker Minister of Tourism Ilin Dimitrov. He listed the tasks before the ministry in the coming months.

A draft law will be drafted with the tourism industry, which will create a control body - a "tourist police" to monitor illegal and unfair practices in the sector. Team checks with experts from the police and the revenue agency will be strengthened.

Licensed tour operators have been complaining about large-scale illegal excursions for a long time, and the minister called for reporting such practices to the department.

Dimitrov pointed out that he had set himself the goal of starting the leasing of the beaches for 5 years, and not, as is the case so far, on a concession for 20 years.
