In a number of Bulgarian cities, such as Karlovo, Lovech, Veliko Tarnovo and others, the commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the death of the Apostle of Freedom Vasil Levski has begun.

This evening there will be a commemorative ceremony in Vasil Levski's hometown Karlovo. A holy liturgy and a memorial service were celebrated today at the St. Virgin Mary, where Levski had been chanting as a deacon with his spiritual name Ignatius. Church hymns in memory of Levski were performed by the Svetloglas quartet.

On 19 February, President Rumen Radev will open the multimedia digital exhibition "The Apostle's Confession" at the Square 500 National Gallery. In the evening, the President will take part in the commemorative ceremony at the monument to the hero in the capital.
