Administrative Courts overturns decision to mix the results of machine and paper voting

The Administrative Court in Sofia has annulled the decision of the Central Election Commission (CEC), according to which the results of the paper and machine voting must be taken into account in the election protocols. The court considered the issue after complaints were received from the "Left" coalition and the "We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria" coalition. 

According to the judges, the decision of the CEC contradicts the Electoral Code because "it does not guarantee the transparency of the electoral process and does not allow for real control of the electoral process, both by citizens and by the court".

Now the CEC has three days to decide whether to appeal the decision of the Administrative Court.
