Today and tomorrow at the University Emergency Hospital "Pirogov" in Sofia will be held the 8th March campaign "Donate blood, give a chance for life".
The campaign will be open to long-time blood donors, relatives of patients and people with big hearts. "We would be extremely grateful to all donors, especially those who are blood type A negative," the hospital said.
The hospital accepts patients with the most severe conditions who need blood transfusions around the clock.  Nearly 1,700 litres of blood and 761 litres of plasma were used at Pirogov last year.
