Bulgaria named Destination of the Year-Balkan Region at Berlin tourism fair

At the biggest and most prestigious international tourism fair in the world Internationale Tourismus-Börse in Berlin, Bulgaria was named Destination of the Year-Balkan Region by the Pacific Area Travel Writers Association which comprises some 7,000 journalists, and Bulgaria’s Minister of Tourism Ilin Dimitrov – Tourism Minister of the Year-Balkan Region. 

The award comes as proof of the successful policies the country has been pursuing towards restoring growth in the tourism industry which was hit very hard by a number of negative events in past years, the Ministry of Tourism press service points out.
