A Chinese company working in biofermentation presented its plans for a big investment in the processing of cereals at the Bulgarian Ministry of Agriculture.

“Bulgaria is a traditional producer of high-quality grain and it also has the capacities to process it. We have favourable soil and climatic conditions, rail and port infrastructure and long-standing traditions in the industry,” said Deputy Minister of Agriculture Todor Djikov during a meeting with the entrepreneurs.

The investors from Fufeng Group are exploring the possibilities in several European countries. The company plans to buy mostly local maize, and if local production proves insufficient, to import it from nearly destinations.
