Minister of Energy Rosen Hristov has expressed confidence that the gas interconnector Bulgaria-Serbia will be completed on time and within the budget frame. Today, he inspected the construction activities at the facility with an annual capacity of 1.8 billion cubic meters, which should be operational in October this year.

Currently, together with eight European countries, an analysis of the gas market in South-Eastern and Central Europe is being carried out in order for other countries to diversify their gas supplies, the way Bulgaria has done, the minister added. According to him, Bulgaria is ready to build an additional compressor station to increase capacity to 3.2 billion cubic meters.
