In December 2000, in the mound "Roshavata Chuka" near the village of Aleksandrovo close to Bulgaria’s Haskovo, a team of archaeologists led by Dr. Georgi Kitov (1943-2008) came across one of the most impressive historical finds in Bulgaria – a Thracian tomb dating back to the 4th century BC. The tomb belongs to one of the Thracian rulers, whose name remains a secret for us. In May 2009, the "Thracian Art in the Eastern Rhodopes" Museum Center opened its doors. It houses an exact copy of the tomb - one of the 100 National Tourist Sites.
