We move the clock arrows forward an hour again

Tonight, at precisely 3:00 a.m., we will move the arrows of the clocks forward one hour again to switch to Daylight Savings Time.

The practice dates back to the 1970s and applies to countries that generally change the time, as Russia, Turkey, China no longer follow it.

The time shift is a legacy of the dawn of the Industrial Revolution, when factories needed more hours of sunlight.

These days, the Council of the European Union has not yet ruled on whether the switching to Daylight Saving Time should continue. According to the latest surveys in 2018, 84% of the 4.6 million asked Europeans, the time change should stop, and in Bulgaria 96 percent of Bulgarians also want this change to stop.
