The film “Red Shoes” wins the Grand Prize at Sofia Film Fest

The film “Red Shoes” (Mexico-Italy) won the grand prize “Sofia-City of Cinema” at the 27th edition of Sofia International Film Festival, “Art Fest” announced. “Red Shoes” is directed by Carlos Eichelman Kaiser. The jury consisted of Milcho Manchevsi (North Macedonia),Agnieszka Smoczynska (Poland), Alexandra Kotcheff (USA), Milena Kaneva (Bulgaria-Italy) and Bulgarian actor Vladimir Penev. They awarded the “Red Shoes” for “the simple story focused on humanity and for the filmmakers’ skills that make the film original and unique”. 

The Special Jury Award went to the film “Cloves and Carnations” (Turkey-Belgium), director Bekir Bulbul. Vasilis Katsoupis won the award for Best Director for his film “Inside”.
