Bulgaria will send a letter to the European Commission, along with other EU member countries, insisting on changes to the European regulation regarding the suspension of import duties on farming produce from Ukraine. This was announced after President Rumen Radev met with representatives of the National Grain Producers Association this afternoon. The meeting was attended also by the ministers of agriculture and of economy in the caretaker cabinet. The protests by grain producers are to continue on 31 March. They say their estimated losses at this time run to around EUR 50 million, whereas the European assistance promised amounts to EUR 16 million.
