This year has been the strongest for winter tourism in Bulgaria since the number of tourists is being tracked, it became clear from the words of President Rumen Radev, who attended the opening of the Academy of Mountain Medicine in the capital's Lozenets University Hospital.
The growth of tourists in winter resorts compared to the previous year is 24% and compared to the previously recorded strongest season (2019-2020) – 9%, the head of state said. According to him, this country can establish itself as a reliable winter tourist destination if it has a reliable system to guarantee people's health and life. Rumen Radev also announced that the procedure for the delivery of six helicopters for emergency air medical assistance was completed yesterday and a contract for them has already been concluded. The first will arrive in December this year and the second one - in June next year.
