End of elections as polls close in the USA and Canada

The polling stations all over the world are closed. The elections for Bulgaria's 49th National Assembly are officially over. 

The vote ended for Bulgarians in Great Britain and Northern Ireland, where there were 118 polling stations, 74 polling stations were opened in Germany, 64 in Spain, 23 in the Netherlands, 16 in France, 11 in Switzerland, 11 in Norway, 9 in Denmark and 5 in Ireland

At the polling station in Serbia's Tsaribrod, election day was extended due to people wishing to vote after 20:00 local time, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said. 

Election day also ended in Greece, Cyprus, the Middle East and Central Asia

70 000 people voted in Turkey at 162 polling stations. This is about 12,000 more voters than the previous vote on 2 October 2022. 20,000 voted in Istanbul.

As the polls closed in California, Arizona and Nevada, Election Day ended for Bulgarians in the USA and Canada. There were 56 polling stations open in the USA and 16 in Canada.

Everywhere, the vote was peaceful and there were no large crowds outside polling stations, the Foreign Ministry reported.
