In an open letter to the Bulgarian Patriarch Neophyte and the members of the Holy Synod, Orthodox Bulgarians from all over the country call on the Bulgarian Orthodox Church to pronounce in defence of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and to pronounce against the persecution of its clergy.

The authors of the petition also insist that the Bulgarian Orthodox Church, with its spiritual authority, turn to President Rumen Radev, in his capacity as an Orthodox Christian, as well as to all political, non-governmental, diplomatic organizations and structures of the national, international and European community for timely assistance.
