The Roman Catholic Church celebrates the Resurrection of Christ. In Bulgaria, north of Plovdiv lives the largest Catholic community in Bulgaria, numbering over 20,000 people.

Among the kozunaks characteristic of Bulgarian lands, in this part of Bulgaria they also knead Easter butter cookies, similar to the unleavened bread typical of the Catholic ritual. During the service for the Resurrection of Christ, they are consecrated, and then served on the rich festive table.

The closest people gather at the festive Easter lunch, because the message of this bright day is to celebrate love between people, forgiveness, generosity and family unity.
