Turkey’s Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu attended an iftar meal in Shumen. The charity dinner for 1,200 Muslims took place in front of Tombul Mosque. The guest laid emphasis on the importance of solidarity and unity against the background of the crises in the world and in the Balkans. Minister Cavusoglu made mention of the region of the Western Balkans, and more specifically the escalating rhetoric in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Kosovo-Serbia problem. We shall make more efforts towards peace, he said and added that under President Recep Erdogan, Turkey had made the greatest amount of efforts for an end to the war in Ukraine.

The presidential candidate of the leading opposition alliance Kemal Kilicdaroglu is coming to Bulgaria on 15 April to take part in a charity iftar dinner in Kardzhali, Turkish MP Hasan Ozturk said for the BNR.
