Priests chosen to bring Holy Fire to Bulgaria have arrived in Jerusalem

The Bulgarian delegation which will bring the Holy Fire back to Bulgaria have arrived in Jerusalem, the Metropolitan See of Stara Zagora announced.

Any Orthodox Christian visiting the Holy Lands to attend the grand miracle – the descent of the Holy Fire feels a great emotion, and a joy that Christ has risen from the dead and death has no power over Him,” said before departure the leader of the delegation Metropolitan Bishop Cyprian. The Bulgarian priests and the Bulgarian ambassador to Israel Rumiana Bachvarova will attend the church service at the Church of the Resurrection in Jerusalem where on Holy Saturday, the Holy Fire descends from the sky.

By a tradition, the clerics from the different dioceses across the country will take of the fire to the churches for evening Easter liturgy.
