GERB/SDS willing not to nominate a government if We Continue the Change/DB say they can form a cabinet, Rossen Zhelyazkov says

If We Continue the Change/Democratic Bulgaria declare they are able to form a government, GERB/SDS is willing not to nominate a cabinet on the first mandate, Rossen Zhelyazkov, President of the National Assembly and MP from GERB/SDS stated in an interview with bTV. “If they state that on their mandate we can form a stable majority that will approve this legislative programme in full, then we are ready to refrain from nominating a cabinet on the first mandate,” Rossen Zhelyazkov said. However, he added that if the condition set down is for GERB/SDS to just support and not to be a part of a future government then “the political dialogue will stop making any sense.”

“The gentlemen’s agreement with GERB does not include governing together,” Nikolay Denkov, We Continue the Change/Democratic Bulgaria MP said in an interview with bTV. “Until GERB changes its attitude to corruption there is no way we can govern together,” he said. In answer to GERB leader Boщko Borissov’s words that We Continue the Change/Democratic Bulgaria should say who they are going to look for support from if they are given a mandate to form a government, Nikolay Denkov commented that We Continue the Change/Democratic Bulgaria was ready for the option of forming a minority government and looking for support from everyone “ready to pursue the legislative programme agreed, and the approach towards transforming Bulgaria into an advanced European country”.
