Two Bulgarian women and a Sudanese man arrived at Sofia Airport on a flight from Berlin after being evacuated from Sudan. This is the first group of citizens who requested evacuation to Bulgaria because of the complicated situation, BNR reported.

"I am married to a Sudanese, I have been living in Sudan for many years. There was an extremely fast intervention, they managed to organize us and give us the correct coordinates to move to the safest areas," said Nicoleta, one of the Bulgarian citizens who arrived from Sudan, quoted by BNT.
The woman has lived in Sudan for 45 years. According to her, the crisis there is deepening with each passing day. Thousands of people are leaving Sudan, especially across the Egyptian border.
