Part of the right hand of Great Martyr Saint George the Victor, kept in the church of St. George in Nigrita near Serres in Greece, has arrived in Sofia, and was welcomed by the public in front of the metropolitan church St. Marina. A procession bore the relics of the holy martyr to the church St. Sophia, where they will remain until 28 April, after which they will be displayed in the village of Gorni Lozen, the St. Kozma and Damyan monastery near Gigintsi village, then at the St. Petka church in Breznik, and on 6 May, the day of St. George – at the St. George church in Pernik.
