The Heart of Bulgaria exhibition is visiting UNESCO

On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the entry of the Rila Monastery into the World Heritage List, in the period from April 24 to 28, 2023, a photo exhibition titled "The Heart of Bulgaria" is presented at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris. 

The exhibition features 20 impressive photographs from the Rila Monastery and comes under the patronage of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church. 

At the opening, the history of the Rila  Monastery, its importance as a world cultural heritage site and its role in preserving Bulgarian spirituality over the centuries was presented, reports the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
