The coalition We Continue the Change/Democratic Bulgaria nominated Academician Nikolay Denkov for prime minister. “We have no right to substitute the votes of 620,000 Bulgarian citizens. We are following the decision we made –to not support the first mandate for the formation of a government,” said We Continue the Change co-chair Kiril Petkov at a press conference, and added that the leaders of the coalition Hristo Ivanov, General Atanas Atanasov and Vladislav Panev were not being nominated for cabinet ministers.

The coalition sets down 5 government priorities – Bulgaria’s entry into the Schengen area and the Eurozone, tackling inflation, implementation of all delayed conditions and measures connected with the Recovery and Resilience Plan, and amending the financing of regional projects.
