Spokesperson of National Investigation Service denies statement that there are suspects in attack on chief prosecutor

"At this stage, it cannot be said that there are any suspects," said the spokesperson of the National Investigation Service, Marian Marinov, regarding the attempted assassination of Chief Prosecutor Ivan Geshev. 

His words come hours after caretaker Interior Minister Ivan Demerdzhiev announced at a briefing in the Council of Ministers that there are suspects for what happened on the Sofia-Samokov road. 

In the meantime, the inspection of the site of the detonated explosive device has been completed and from now on we will work with the operational services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the security services and all international partner services, the spokesperson also said.
