The regional radio station of the Bulgarian National Radio in Kardzhali celebrates its 7th birthday today. In Bulgaria, people like to say that the first 7 years are the most important - a person becomes aware of themselves and learns the basic rules of the game "Life". This fully applies to the youngest member of the public radio family in Bulgaria.
On May 9, 2017, at 9:00 a.m., the regional news with host Stanislava Georgieva was broadcast for the first time on a frequency of 90 MHz. Radio Kardzhali was born and it managed to establish a firm position in the media market in the Eastern Rhodopes and reached the hearts of tens of thousands of listeners.
From the very beginning, a special place in its program has been occupied by broadcasts in Turkish, prepared by the Turkish section of Radio Bulgaria. These are three hours a day of news and information about life in Bulgaria, divided into three broadcasts - in the morning from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m., at noon - from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and in the evening - from 8:00 p.m. until 21:00.
A special guest at the celebration of the 7th anniversary of BNR-Kardzhali will be Vice President Iliana Iotova, while BNR Director General Milen Mitev will open an exhibition of photojournalists Mehmed Redzheb and Georgi Argirov. Under the heading "The Eyes of the Rhodopes" they present 60 photographs that have captured life in this picturesque region of Bulgaria.
