Citizens of Ruse and guests to the beautiful Danube city are preparing for an eventful week. In the period May 11 - 13, the iconic Revenue Building will host the 18th “Weekend Tourism” Exhibition. 40 stands of various tour operators, museums, institutions, municipalities and embassies in Bulgaria will be presented.
The program of the exhibition also includes presentations of some of the most interesting festivals in Bulgaria, as well as a forum entitled "Digitalization, innovations and trends in the field of culture and tourism" with the participation of experts working in the industry.
At the same time, Festival of Tourist Entertainment and Animation will be held in the central town square in Ruse. Chess for children, bicycle playground, climbing wall, vintage photography, and vertical rope playground are just some of the attractions in the program.
On Thursday, May 11, the school for proto-Bulgarian martial arts "Bagatur" and a team of the Tuida Fortress from the city of Sliven will present attractive performances, including elements of medieval life, reenactments of battle scenes and archery demonstrations. A culinary show with host Ivan Zvezdev will also take place in the central city square, as well as a "Big Band Parade", with the participation of formations from Gabrovo, Veliko Tarnovo and the Municipal Wind Orchestra of Ruse.
The International Culinary Competition "Like the Chefs" will be held on Saturday, as well as a competition for eating hot peppers. There will be a daytime disco and entertainment program for children. A hip-hop night with the rap star 100 Kila starts at 8:10 p.m. The festive program will be closed with an attractive light show.
