"Next week the Ministry of Justice will decide what steps to take in connection with the Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev", Justice Minister Krum Zarkov said. By demanding Geshev's resignation, GERB’s Premier Designate Mariya Gabriel joined the people who protested in 2020 demanding the prosecutor general’s removal, Krum Zarkov added.

"The issues Mariya Gabriel starts with are good and conducive to unity", the Chairman of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms Mustafa Karadayi said in Parliament. In his words, the idea for removing the prosecutor general cannot be a stumbling block for talks with GERB-SDS.

We have been talking about the removal of Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev for a long time”, said the Chairman of Vazrazhdane party Kostadin Kostadinov. According to Kostadinov, “Mariya Gabriel’s statement is a bait being thrown to We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria.”

“It is an important political declaration which has my support”, Democratic Bulgaria co-leader Hristo Ivanov said. “Hopefully, there will be a meeting with GERB-SDS”, Hristo Ivanov said after the failed meeting between We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria and GERB-SDS.
