I have long appealed to the prosecutor's office and in particular to Ivan Geshev to open their eyes to what is happening in the country, Interior Minister Ivan Demerdzhiev said on Monday on the occasion of the prosecutor general's statement that there is a political mafia in Bulgaria trying to obstruct his institution.

"When you turn a blind eye and let certain politicians have their way, waiting for them to attack you first and then turn against them, that is very delayed justice," Demerdzhiev added.

The minister stressed that Ivan Geshev should have seen through these events and his prosecutor's office should have long ago introduced the rule of law, bringing back a sense of justice.
