Mustafa Karadayi, leader of the MRF, described the statement of Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev, in which he said he would not resign, as a "personal choice". "However, we are the ones who have to do the judicial reform, including with changes in the Constitution," he added.

"The sad story of a resignation" - this is how Ivaylo Mirchev, MP from We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria, commented laconically on Facebook. "Sad, because the words of the prosecutor general have highlighted the vicious workings of governance in Bulgaria," he added, defining as priority Nº1 to get the thugs and the criminals out of the institutions and out of politics.

"What is happening today between Geshev and other American metastases in Bulgaria reminds of what happened in 1934 between Hitler and Röhm in Germany, an event known as the "Night of the Long Knives", posted for his part the leader of "Renaissance" Kostadin Kostadinov.

"Judging by the statements of the Prosecutor General, we are convinced that political circles are trying to interfere in the judiciary in any way they can," says Toshko Yordanov of There is Such a People. He said the scrapping of the GERB model is underway, and that accusations of implicit threats show that political power is no longer as firmly rooted in the judiciary.
