Prosecutor General Deputy Borislav Sarafov requested security guards for fear of being "suddenly killed"

Hours after Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev announced he would not resign, his deputy and head of the investigation Borislav Sarafov accused him of privatising the Prosecutor's Office.
Sarafov also said he feared for his life and asked the justice minister to appoint him personal bodyguards. "Until today, unlike Ivan Geshev, I was leading a normal life. Unfortunately, for me and my family this will no longer be possible because I know the methods of the Prosecutor General," Sarafov stressed. He said that he was afraid that he would be "suddenly killed", as happened nearly 20 years ago with prosecutor Nikola Kolev under another Prosecutor General - Nikola Filchev.
