Interior Ministry comes up with proposals for prevention of road traffic offences

Bulgaria’s Ministry of Interior proposes that the refusal of drivers to undergo alcohol and drug testing be incriminated. The ministry also proposes that speeding and traffic light offences be regarded as qualifying circumstances for death or bodily injury in car accidents, caretaker Minister of Interior Ivan Demerdzhiev said at a hearing in Parliament. 

The Ministry of Interior also demands that speed limit on motorways and in urban areas be reduced. The Interior Ministry proposes that young drivers in Bulgaria drive with accompanying persons for a specified period.
