The Directors General of the Bulgarian National Radio and Radio Romania Milen Mitev and Razvan Dinka signed a cooperation agreement. The ceremony was also attended by the Ambassador of Romania to Bulgaria, Brăndusă Predescu. Milen Mitev stressed that the bilateral cooperation in information exchange will be strengthened, as well as the interaction between the regional programmes of the two media.

"As we are neighbouring countries, we have a very similar path in Europe. Tourism is growing on both sides of the Danube, and I think we can present both Bulgarian and Romanian audiences with very useful, up-to-date and verified information about what is happening in our two countries. Both BNR and Radio Romania are cultural institutions that have musical ensembles and play a significant role in the development of culture in their countries, and we would like to organize joint initiatives and concerts," Mitev said. Razvan Dinka, for his part, stressed the role of public radio as a source of accurate, verified information.
