A charity concert "The children of Bulgaria help the children of Turkey" will take place tonight at 19:00 at the Central Military Club in Sofia.

The goal is to use the collected funds to support the construction of a school and a kindergarten in the Turkish province of Hatay, which was heavily affected by the earthquakes in February this year.

According to the Bulgarian ambassador to Turkey, Angel Cholakov, 1.3 million Turkish liras (nearly BGN 119,000) are needed for the cause.

The campaign is organized by the Bulgarian-Turkish Business Women's Club together with the Bulgarian Ministry of Defence, the Turkish ambassador to Bulgaria Aylin Sekizkök and Sofia Municipality.
