Two international exercises in Bulgaria are part of Defender Europe 23

At Novo Selo training ground, President Rumen Radev attended the last day of the international military exercise Defensive Shield 23

Together with the Minister of Defense Dimitar Stoyanov and the Chief of Defense Adm. Emil Eftimov, Radev attended the conducting of tactical defense actions by the multinational NATO battle group in the country, which includes military personnel from the United States, Italy and Bulgaria. The Bulgarian Air Force also participated in the training.

In parallel with Defensive Shield 23, the multinational exercise "Pirin Sentinel -2023" is being held until June 2 at the Koren test site. They are part of NATO's international exercise Defender Europe 23, which is led by the US Army Europe and Africa Command.
