Sofia Pride marchers call for family support

The 16th edition of Sofia Pride parade took place in Sofia in support of the rights of the LGBTI community.

It started with a concert in front of the Soviet Army Monument and continued with a march through the central streets of Sofia. Participants in the initiative stressed that they stand together against hatred, discrimination and inequality, and the support of those closest to them is infinitely important and necessary for them.
"Unfortunately, much more often than others, we non-heterosexual, trans and intersex people do not receive acceptance and love at home, and do not meet the understanding and support that every person longs for," said participants in the Pride. - This is why the doors of Sofia Pride 2023 are open to those who feel rejected and unaccepted."
