"A coalition agreement with "We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria" is necessary because that's the only way the real coalition works." With these words, the leader of GERB, Boyko Borissov, responded to the PP-DB's call to sign a joint mechanism for guaranteeing the government's reform program.

At a working meeting in Veliko Tarnovo with the participation of municipal mayors from GERB and MPs from the parliamentary group of GERB-SDS, he pointed out that the requested guarantees from the coalition partners are proof of awareness of the need to sign such an agreement.

Boyko Borissov also said that his party follows the declaration that rotating prime ministers Nikolay Denkov and Mariya Gabriel presented at the announcement of the cabinet.

For her part, Mariya Gabriel stated that she and Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov work as a team, they trust each other and everyone listens to the other's opinion. She emphasized that this is the working solution for Bulgaria to enter Schengen and to catch up on the lagging behind regarding the Recovery and Resilience Plan.
