From this summer the guests of Nessebar can make their sea holiday even more enjoyable by combining it with a hiking trip at the foot of the Balkan Mountains. Recently, a new eco-trail with a total length of 4 631 m was opened in the vicinity of the Black Sea resort town, reports the website bgtourism.bg.
The route passes through mountain forests and reaches an observation platform, from where there is a view of the mountain ridges and the sea in the distance. There is a panoramic telescope and a relaxation area with hammocks and log seats.
Further along the eco-trail there is an old mountain spring water fountain, which has been restored, and around which there are also resting places.
The trail can even be walked at night, as 106 energy-saving solar lamps have been installed along its entire length. An information sign is placed at the beginning of the route. The eco-trail is suitable for hiking and cycling and reveals one of the most picturesque areas on the territory of Nessebar municipality.
