Many Bulgarians welcomed July morning on the Black Sea and Danube coasts

The first rays of the sun on July 1 were traditionally welcomed by many enthusiasts in different parts of Bulgaria near the water and on the mountain tops
On the rocks near the village of Kamen Bryag on the Black Sea coast, the warm-up started even before midnight with a musical marathon, and with the first rays of the sun, everyone sang the eternal classic - the song July Morning by Uriah Heep. 

At precisely 5:49 a.m. this morning, the sun was also welcomed in Vidin on the banks of the Danube river, at the Baba Vida fortress. 

Near the Sunken Church and the Zhrebchevo Dam, the gathered people also said "Hello, Sun!" in the company of the rock dinosaurs from the cult Bulgarian band Signal. Others preferred to welcome the beginning of July at Kamen Del peak on Vitosha.

The beginning of the tradition of welcoming the first rays of the July sun in Bulgaria on the night of June 30 to July 1 was given in Varna in the mid-1980s. It is associated with the hippie movement in America, but in Bulgaria it exists to this day.
