The European Commission has been making final steps to completely end the Cooperation and Verification Mechanism for Bulgaria and Romania, "Politico" reports, referring to part of the reports under the monitoring mechanism for the rule of law, which will be published on July 5.
The mechanism was created in 2007 to report on the progress of Bulgaria and Romania in judicial reforms, the fight against corruption, and especially for Bulgaria, in the fight against organized crime.
