Weather forecast: High temperatures, intense rainfall and thunder

On Friday morning the weather will be predominantly sunny, with heavy cumulus rain clouds developing in the afternoon and during the night, and brief but temporarily intensive rainfall with thunder in some parts. There will be a moderate and strong wind from the West-Northwest, in the Eastern parts of the country – from the North. Maximum temperatures 27-32° C., for Sofia around 28° C.

Over the mountains the weather will be predominantly sunny, with heavy cumulus rain clouds developing in the afternoon, and brief rain and thunder in many parts. In the region of the Central Balkan range, Strandzha and Sakar, the rainfall will be intensive, there will be a moderate to strong wind from the North-Northwest. Maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 m. around 22° c., at 2,000 m. – around 16° C.

Over the Black Sea coast the weather will be predominantly sunny, with cumulus rain clouds developing in the afternoon, and brief, intensive rain and thunder during the night in many parts along the Southern portion of the coastline. There will be a moderate to strong wind from the North-Northwest. Maximum temperatures 27-29° C., temperature of the sea water 22-26° C., sea state 2-3.
