At the World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships for Girls in the Romanian city of Cluj-Napoca Elvira Krasnobaeva won the title in the ball final. Perfectly played compositions and a score of 32.100 points brought her the gold medal. In the hoop final Krasnobayeva made some mistakes and remained fourth.
Before that the Bulgarian athletes won two more gold medals. The ensemble of Andrea Ivanova, Eva Emilova, Tsveteyoana Peycheva, Krasimira Ivanova, Gabriela Peeva and Vanessa Emilova became the champion in the all-around, while the ensemble of Elvira Krasnobaeva and Nicole Todorova took the team title. These are the first ever gold titles for Bulgarian athletes at the girls' championships.
