Online gallery to focus on Bulgarian artists

Works by contemporary Bulgarian artists with a distinctive artistic voice, technique and message are collected on the virtual art platform madein.bg. The aim of the online gallery is to draw attention to the work of Bulgarian artists, which is worth investing in, say its creators.

"The art market in our country today, fragmented as it is, has no regulation in terms of the quality of the works presented. It abounds in reproductions and digital copies of original works that artists often make themselves to offer a budget alternative to their work," the online gallery's team points out.

The platform will showcase not only well-known contemporary artists and significant works of Bulgarian art, but also young artists who have yet to make a name for themselves. The genres presented in the virtual gallery include painting, sculpture and ceramics, as well as digital art, photography, design objects and jewellery.
