Weather forecast for 20 July

Heatwave continues, hail possible in northwest

Thursday will be sweltering hot. Indeed, an atmospheric front will pass through the country  in the afternoon and, in the north, it will be a little cooler with cumulus clouds and brief showers with thunderstorms at places. Hail is possible in the northwest. Minimum temperatures will be 17 to 25°C, in Sofia - 17°, and maximum temperatures are expected to reach 34 to 39°C, in the capital - 34°.

Over the Black Sea coast it will be sunny with a light breeze from the southeast. Maximum air temperatures will be 28-31°C. Sea water temperatures will be 23-27°C. The sea swell will be 2-3.

It will be sunny in the mountains, too, with clouds and brief showers in the afternoon. The temperature at 1,200 m will be up to 28°C, at 2,000 m up to 20°C.

Friday and Saturday remain hot with maximum temperatures of 35 to 40°C.
