Minister of Justice Atanas Slavov will appeal the decision of the Supreme Administrative Court (SAC) on the election of Borislav Sarafov as acting Prosecutor General. Speaking to bTV, Slavov said that this will be done in a private complaint before a 5-member panel of the Supreme Administrative Court. The minister called on the prosecutor's collegium of the Supreme Judicial Council to complete the process of appointing the special prosecutor to investigate reports of abuses against Borislav Sarafov.

Slavov added that the proposals for changes to the constitution will be submitted to the parliament by July 31. He added that among the most important texts refer to changes in the powers of the chief prosecutor, the division of the SJC, the changes in the functions of the caretaker government and the change of the date of the national holiday - from March 3 to May 24.
